  • Yankees (48-21, @ KC): Carlos Rodón got his ninth win of the year on Monday as Jose Trevino knocked in two RBIs and Juan Soto returned to the lineup, leading to a series-opening win. They started with a two-run lead yesterday and ended the game 10-1 as Aaron Judge hit his 25th homer to extend his MLB lead. 💪

Jorge Mateo hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the second on Tuesday, which was enough to start the series with a win as they shut out the Braves, winning their fifth straight and tying their longest streak of the year.

  • Red Sox (33-34, v. PHI): Kutter Crawford took his fourth consecutive loss yesterday, receiving little support from the offense as they tallied just four hits in the series opener.

  • Blue Jays (33-34, @ MIL): After scoring just one run in a loss to open the series on Monday, Yusei Kikuchi and company threw a combined shutout on Tuesday to even up the series.

  • Rays (32-35, v. BAL/v. CHC): They suffered their first four-game sweep since 2001 on Monday as Ryan Pepiot allowed a career-high nine hits. Brandon Lowe delivered a three-run walk-off homer after Zach Eflin went 5.2 innings, allowing the Cubs only two runs.

Central
  • Guardians (43-22, @ CIN): Steven Kwan and Josh Naylor teamed up to drive in all five of the team’s runs as Triston McKenzie logged his fifth win. 😤

  • Royals (39-29, v. NYY): Seth Lugo took his second loss of the year on Monday as the offense failed to score until the seventh inning, losing the series opener by two. • Twins (35-32, v. COL): Chris Paddack and company threw a shutout on Monday as Royce Lewis hit his fourth homer in their second consecutive win after losing five straight. Louie Varland went five scoreless innings, allowing just one hit on Tuesday, but Caleb Thielbar entered the game in the sixth and allowed four runs without recording an out, leading to a loss.

  • Tigers (32-34, v. WSH): An error at third base turned a Riley Greene triple into a Little League grand slam, while Kenta Maeda threw four innings of one-run ball in his first appearance since exiting after two pitches in his last start. Unfortunately, they couldn’t hold on, allowing the Nationals to win in the tenth inning.

  • White Sox (17-51, @ SEA): After extending to a 4-0 lead in the eighth inning on Monday, they allowed back-to-back four-run innings and lost on a grand slam in the ninth. West
  • Mariners (39-30, v. CWS): They were scoreless until the eighth inning on Monday when Dominic Canzone sparked a comeback with his sixth homer of the year, leading to a Cal Raleigh walk-off grand slam. Cal delivered another three RBIs yesterday to lead Seattle back from a deficit again. 💥

  • Rangers (31-35, @ LAD): Dane Dunning allowed six runs in 3.2 innings, and Grant Anderson gave up four home runs—the first Ranger to do so since Pat Mahomes Sr. in 2001—leading to their most runs allowed this season in a series opener to forget.

  • Athletics🔽(26-43, @ AZ): Homers from Abraham Toro and Tyler Soderstrom, who hit his second in as many days, weren’t enough as they went into the ninth tied, and Scott Alexander allowed a walk-off homer.
