  • Yankees (49-22, @ KC): It was another big win on Wednesday after they opened the game with a six-run first inning, highlighted by a three-run homer from Jose Trevino. However, seven innings of two-run ball from Nestor Cortes weren’t enough to finish off the four-game sweep as Clay Holmes logged his fourth blown save of the year.

  • Orioles (45-23, v. ATL): Colton Cowser delivered a game-winning two-run homer on Wednesday, while Cade Povich threw six scoreless innings but didn’t factor into the decision. Cole Irvin didn’t have as much success on the mount on Thursday, allowing four runs in 5.2 innings to take his third loss of the year.

  • Red Sox (35-34, v. PHI): Two RBIs from Enmanuel Valdez and David Hamilton helped seal the win on Wednesday, while Kenley Jansen secured his tenth save. The bats continued to roar on Thursday, scoring 8+ runs for the second straight night as Tyler O’Neill hit a three-run homer for his 12th of the year.

  • Blue Jays (33-35, @ MIL): After Chris Bassitt left the game with a 1-0 lead, the bullpen, which has MLB's third-highest ERA, allowed five runs, putting the game just out of reach despite their one-run ninth inning.

  • Rays (33-36, v. CHC): Aaron Civale went 5.2 innings of one-run ball on Wednesday, but the bullpen allowed three more runs, resulting in a 12-5 record in one-run games. They added another win to that total on Thursday after a three-run seventh inning secured their 19th comeback win of the year.

Central
  • Guardians (43-23, @ CIN): Tanner Bibee entered the sixth inning with a 2-1 lead and 10 strikeouts but allowed a three-run homer before exiting, which ended up being the game-deciding runs.

  • Royals (40-30, v. NYY): They extended their season-long losing streak to four on Wednesday after using an opener, Dan Altavilla, who allowed five runs in the first inning while recording just one out. Alec Marsh took the mound for seven scoreless innings on Thursday to help the team avoid the sweep, thanks to a walk-off two-run double by Maikel Garcia.

  • Twins (37-32, v. COL/v. OAK): On Wednesday, they scored a season-high 17 runs to win the series as Royce Lewis hit his fourth homer since returning from the IL just eight games ago. Carlos Correa had three RBIs in the series opener as Joe Ryan went seven innings of two-run ball to get the win.

  • Tigers (33-35, v. WSH): Reese Olson took his eighth loss of the year, allowing five runs and ten hits in 5.1 innings as the offense couldn’t overcome that deficit. They avoided the sweep on Thursday with Casey Mize pitching six innings of one-run ball while Justyn-Henry Malloy drove in three runs.

  • White Sox (18-52, @ SEA): Jonathan Cannon threw seven innings, allowing just one run on Wednesday, but a solo homer from Luis Robert Jr. was the lone run they scored in the loss. Robert Jr. homered again on Thursday as Garrett Crochet struck out 13 in the extra-innings win.

West
  • Mariners (40-31, v. CWS): After struggling in his last outing, Bryce Miller threw seven scoreless innings in a game that went to extras, where Mitch Haniger walked it off with a single. With two outs in the ninth inning on Thursday, Julio Rodríguez hit a solo homer to send the game to extras again, but they eventually lost, failing to complete the sweep.

  • Rangers (33-35, @ LAD): Corey Seager returned to the lineup on Wednesday and hit a three-run homer in his first game in LA as a visitor, which was just enough to win the one-run game. Michael Lorenzen threw six innings, allowing just one run, to help seal the series victory on Thursday.

  • Astros (31-38, @ SF): They scored three runs for the third game in a row on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough for the second time in that span as Framber Valdez allowed five runs in four innings.

  • Angels (26-42, @ AZ): José Soriano threw eight innings, allowing two runs in a win on Wednesday, as Zach Neto and Jo Adell both went yard. The pitching wasn’t as strong in the series rubber match, with Griffin Canning allowing four runs in six innings, leading to an 11-1 loss.

  • Athletics (26-45, @ SD/@ MIN): They were walked off for the second straight game on Wednesday, ending the series against San Diego in a sweep. On Thursday, they took their sixth straight loss, scoring just two runs on a Tyler Soderstrom homer.

Central
  • Brewers (40-28, v. TOR): They scored all five runs in the sixth inning, capped off by Willy Adames’ two-run homer, which was enough to win the game despite allowing three runs in the ninth, nearly dropping the series rubber match.

  • Cardinals🔼🔼🔼 (33-34, v. PIT): Sonny Gray had a strong outing, allowing just one run over seven innings while they went 3-for-9 with RISP to score four runs and win the game. Lance Lynn didn’t have the same success, allowing three runs in 4.1 innings, but they managed to score four runs for the second straight game to take the series.

  • Reds🔼(33-35, v. CLE): Jeimer Candelario hit two homers to drive in all four of the team’s runs, forcing a two-game series split. Nick Lodolo won his seventh game of the year, going six innings and allowing two runs.

  • Cubs (33-36, @ TB): Cody Bellinger’s three-run homer and Seiya Suzuki’s solo shot led them to a win on Wednesday. Unfortunately, they followed that with just three hits and zero extra-base hits, losing the series rubber match on Thursday despite six scoreless innings from Justin Steele.

  • Pirates🔽🔽🔽 (32-36, @ STL): The offense tallied just six hits, going 1-for-9 with RISP as Bailey Falter allowed three runs in the loss. Mitch Keller also struggled on the mound on Thursday, allowing four runs in the series rubber match loss.

  • Diamondbacks (33-36, v. LAA): Slade Cecconi continued his trend of getting hit hard, giving up two homers and seven runs in just three innings in Wednesday’s loss. Cecconi has now allowed at least one homer in eight of his nine outings this year. On Thursday, the bats returned with a vengeance to win the series, powered by two homers from Christian Walker and a grand slam from Joc Pederson.

  • Rockies (24-44, @ MIN): Austin Gomber opened the game by allowing five runs in the first inning, and despite scoring nine runs themselves, they went on to allow a season-high 17 runs in the loss.
