American League
East
  • Orioles (23-12, @ WSH): The offense only accumulated three hits and was held scoreless for the second time this month as they continue to fail to get Corbin Burnes any run support for the last 14.1 innings he has pitched.

  • Yankees (24-13, v. HOU): Luis Gil was solid on the mound, going six while allowing just one hit and one run. The offense, however, were the real stars of the game, taking Justin Verlander deep three times.

  • Red Sox (19-17, @ ATL): Injuries have been Boston's story of 2024, as they currently have 13 players on the injured list. With 13 runners left on base, they could only score two runs, losing to the Braves on Tuesday. 🤕

  • Rays (19-18, v. CWS): They’re now on a five-game win streak after winning on Monday and Tuesday. Randy Arozarena has homered in three of the last five games after struggling to start the season.

  • Blue Jays (16-20, @ PHI): José Berríos had a night to forget on the mound as he let up more runs than he had in his previous outings this season. After starting the year allowing just seven runs in his first 43.2 innings, he gave up eight runs in just 3.2 innings.

Central
  • Guardians (23-13, v. DET): Cleveland’s winning streak was stopped at three on Tuesday despite seven runs in the first two innings, and they allowed the Tigers offense to score 11 runs throughout the game. Logan Allen struggled on the mound, allowing seven runs on seven hits through just 2.1 innings. Tanner Bibee will take the mound today for the series rubber match. 🤺

  • Twins (20-15, v. SEA): They fought hard on Tuesday, even scoring the game-tying run on an injury to the Mariners pitcher, but they gave up four runs in the top of the ninth and were unable to erase the deficit, losing 10-6.

  • Royals (21-16 v. MIL): They won on Monday by one run with a three-run seventh inning but had a one-run loss of their own on Tuesday on a three-run homer from the Brewers in the top of the ninth.

  • Tigers (19-17, @ CLE): For the third time in four days, the Tigers led off a game with a home run. The game ended with them putting up 11 runs and 15 hits for the day, including Andy Ibáñez, who hit 2 HRs and had 4 RBIs.

  • White Sox (8-28, @ TB): This team has the league's lowest OBP, OPS, Runs, and HRs and is 29th in AVG. They scored two runs on Monday and one run on Tuesday, but they lost both to the Rays. They will look to avoid the sweep today.

West
  • Rangers🔼(21-16, @ OAK): After narrowly winning Monday’s game with a late-inning comeback, the Rangers left no doubt on Tuesday as they had a ten-run second inning. In the second inning, Marcus Semien was already just a triple shy of hitting for the cycle.

  • Mariners🔽(20-16, @ MIN): The offense scored just one run in Monday’s series-opening loss but returned on Tuesday with ten runs in the win. Cal Raleigh remains Seattle's most clutch player, as he had a pinch-hit grand slam on Tuesday, and the offense followed that up by breaking up the tie in the top of the ninth with a four-run inning to seal the win. 💥

  • Athletics (17-20, v. TEX): Entering Monday’s game, Lucas Erceg had allowed just five runs this season but was rung up for three in the blown save. Tuesday wasn’t much more manageable as Ross Stripling went just 1.2 IP, allowing ten hits and eleven runs (five earned).

  • Angels🔼(13-23, @ PIT): The offense scored just one run in Monday’s loss, but on Tuesday, Kevin Pillar had a career night, going 3-for-5 with six RBIs and two homers. Patrick Sandoval threw seven scoreless innings and notched seven strikeouts in the shutout.

  • Astros🔽(12-23, @ NYY): Justin Verlander allowed seven runs through five innings in a forgettable start, as the offense could only put up three runs in a series-opening loss.

National League
East
  • Phillies (26-11, v. SF/v. TOR): After capping off a four-game Giants sweep on Monday, Philadelphia extended their MLB-best win streak to seven on Tuesday as Bryce Harper hit a grand slam to make it three straight games with a homer for him. 💪

  • Braves (21-12, v. BOS): Jarred Kelenic hit his first homer of the year, and Reynaldo Lopez struck out 5+ for his sixth consecutive appearance for the first time since ‘19, helping lead Atlanta to a win.

  • Nationals (18-17, v. BAL): On Tuesday, they held the AL’s best team by record to just three hits in a shutout win, which moved the club over .500 for the first time since ‘21.

  • Mets (18-18, @ STL): A six-run fifth inning got them their second straight win, and they’ll look for the series sweep this afternoon. Pete Alonso busted out of his 1-for-32 slump with a double and a homer, which will hopefully kick-start him in the right direction.

  • Marlins (10-28, @ LAD): Edward Cabrera had to exit Tuesday’s game early with bicep discomfort after giving up four runs, a lead too large for Miami to overcome as they took their second straight loss and will have to try to avoid a sweep today. MLB Network talked about a no-hitter alert before Yoshinobu Yamamoto threw a single pitch yesterday, and right on cue, Jazz Chisholm Jr. took the first pitch of the night deep. 😂

Central
  • Brewers (21-13, @ KC): After allowing a seventh-inning comeback win on Monday, the Brew Crew returned Tuesday with their own comeback, this time in the ninth, thanks to a three-run homer by Willy Adames.

  • Cubs (22-15, v. SD): Justin Steele returned from the IL on Monday, but the bullpen's six-run sixth inning led to a loss. Shota Imanaga continued to do his thing on Tuesday, throwing seven innings while allowing two runs and striking out eight. Imanaga has the lowest ERA in MLB, at just 1.08. Hayden Wesneski will take the mound today for the rubber match.

  • Pirates🔼(17-20, v. LAA): Mitch Keller pitched a complete game on Monday, allowing just one run on five hits and sitting five down on strikes. The pitching wasn’t as strong on Tuesday, as they allowed nine runs while failing to score and tallying just three hits.

  • Reds🔽(16-19, v. AZ): Two solo shots in late innings weren’t enough offense to keep up. Relief pitcher Justin Wilson came into the game in the seventh inning and allowed two singles and two home runs while recording just one out, leading to their sixth straight loss. 📉

  • Cardinals (15-21, v. NYM): Willson Contreras suffered a fractured forearm while the Cards dropped their fourth straight game, which will keep him sidelined for several weeks. With their ace Sonny Gray on the mound this afternoon, they'll look to avoid a sweep.

West
  • Dodgers (25-13, v. MIA): Walker Buehler made his first start in nearly two years, going four innings while giving up three runs. Luckily, the Dodgers’ offense had his back and won the series' first two games. They’ll look to complete the sweep this afternoon.

  • Padres (19-20, @ CHC): Yu Darvish threw five scoreless innings in a win on Monday, but the offense struggled to knock in runs on Tuesday, going 0-for-5 with RISP and leaving eight on base. Dylan Cease will take the ball this afternoon for the series rubber match.

  • Diamondbacks🔼(16-20, @ CIN): After getting some extra rest due to a hamstring issue, Zac Gallen threw six scoreless innings and only surrendered one hit. Corbin Carroll, who has struggled so far this season, knocked in five RBIs and his second tater of the year in Tuesday’s win. 📈

  • Giants🔽(16-21, @ PHI/@COL): In the series' final game against Philadelphia on Monday, the Giants only scored one run, leading to a sweep by the opposing team. However, Kyle Harrison had an impressive performance the following day, pitching seven scoreless innings in a combined shutout win. The offense also stepped up, scoring five runs, their highest score since April 23rd.

  • Rockies (8-27, v. SF): They were shut out on Tuesday as they could only get three runners into scoring position and tallied only four hits in the series opener.
