American League
East
  • Orioles (23-11, @ CIN): Dean Kremer was the third straight starter for the club to have a scoreless outing. The Orioles have been dominant on the mound, holding opponents to two or fewer runs in each of their past seven games for a total of just eight runs for the first time since 1980. Baltimore has won four straight, including the sweep over the Reds.

  • Yankees (23-13, v. DET): Juan Soto is now fourth in MLB with 28 RBI this season. His bases-clearing double helped the Yankees complete the sweep over the Tigers and move to 10 games over .500.

  • Red Sox (19-16, @ MIN): They broke the Twin’s 12-game win streak with an offensive show, scoring nine runs on 11 hits. Jarren Duran became the first Red Sox player since 1989 to have five triples through the team’s first 35 games. 🔥

  • Rays (17-18, v. NYM): Down by one, with a full count and two outs in the bottom of 9th, Randy Arozarena came through in the clutch with a game-tying tater. He was then one-upped by his rookie teammate as Jonny DeLuca hit a walk-off triple in the bottom of the 10th.

  • Blue Jays (16-19, @ WSH): Alek Manoah made his first start since August of last year, but he didn’t have what the Blue Jays needed. He allowed six earned runs on six hits through four innings, leading to an 11-8 loss.

Central
  • Guardians (22-12, v. LAA): José Ramírez and Josh Naylor provided the team with 2-run taters as they took down the Angels 4-1. Ramírez now has five homers in at-bats with 10+ pitches, becoming the first Cleveland player to have more than two since 1988 and only one of four to have done it more than four times. 🤩

  • Twins (19-14, v. BOS): Their amazing run of 12 straight wins, tying their fourth-longest winning streak and longest since 1991, ended Sunday as they lost to the Red Sox 9-2.

  • Royals (20-15 v. TEX): Daniel Lynch had a great outing in his season debut start, throwing five shutout innings and striking out 6. However, his bullpen let him down, as the Rangers came back and won the game 3-2.

  • Tigers (18-16, @ NYY): Tarik Skubal had a career-high 12 strikeouts while allowing just two runs through six innings. Unfortunately, his bullpen could not back him up as they allowed three more runs against the Yankees and lost the game 5-2.

  • White Sox (8-26, @ STL): Garrett Crochet became the first White Sox pitcher to record 50+ strikeouts in their first eight career starts as he struck out six through six innings. After losing 14 of their first 16 games on the road this season, the White Sox win 5-1 and take the series.

West
  • Mariners (19-15, @ HOU): Cal Raleigh has been the Mariners' guy when they need a spark late. He is the only player with multiple go-ahead home runs in the 9th inning or later this season, helping lift the Mariners over the Astros 5-4 and their sixth straight series win. 📈

  • Rangers (19-16, @ KC): Sunday was a good day for DFW sports fans. The Rangers won 3-2 to win the series over the Royals, and the Dallas Stars won 2-1 to win their playoff series over the Golden Knights. Jon Gray was the star of the game, going seven innings with seven strikeouts and only allowing two runs.

  • Athletics (17-18, v. MIA): The A’s were feeling good over the weekend. They had won six straight, including a 20-run win on Saturday fueled by Brent Rooker, who became the first A's player to homer twice in the same inning since Mark McGwire did it in 1996. Unfortunately, they fell back to under .500 in a 12-3 loss Sunday to the Marlins.

  • Astros (12-22, v. SEA): They went into the 7th inning Sunday with a 75 percent win probability, but relievers Josh Hader and Bryan Abreu gave up runs and blew the Astros lead, losing the game 5-4. They’ll need to look at their bullpen, as they’re 1-9 in one-run games this season.

  • Angels (12-22, @ CLE): Griffin Canning had his best outing of the season despite giving up a 2-run shot to José Ramírez on a 10-pitch at-bat. Canning struck out five through six innings and allowed just two runs, but the offense could only produce one run in the loss.

National League
East
  • Phillies (24-11, v. SF): They’re off to their best start since ‘95 and have MLB's longest active win streak at five. They will look to extend that number to six and cap off the sweep tonight. On Saturday night, they scored 14 runs with just two extra-base hits. 🚀

  • Braves (20-12, @ LAD): Atlanta went 1-for-15 with RISP during the three-game series sweep, which left them with their second consecutive series loss for the first time this season. They’ll look to get right after the 1-5 road trip as they head home for two games against Boston.

  • Nationals (17-17, v. TOR): Entering the seventh inning on Sunday, the rubber match was tied up at eight until Eddie Rosario hit his first homer since Opening Day to propel the Nats to a win.

  • Mets (16-18, @ TB): One strike away from avoiding the sweep on Sunday, Edwin Díaz allowed a homer to send it to extras, where the Mets fell, and the sweep was finished by Tampa. They’ll look to bounce back as they head to St. Louis to play a team that just lost a series to the White Sox.

  • Marlins (10-26, @ OAK): They were offered a trade they couldn’t refuse and sent Luis Arraez to SD in exchange for a right-handed reliever and three prospects. On Saturday, Miami became the first team to allow 20 runs this year. On Sunday, they came back with 12 runs of their own to avoid the sweep.

Central
  • Brewers (20-13, @ CHC): They started the series on Friday with a win but dropped the next two while going 0-for-7 with RISP, and Freddy Peralta walked six and allowed three runs in Sunday’s loss.

  • Cubs (21-14, v. MIL): Javier Assad pitched six scoreless innings on Sunday to lower his ERA to an NL-leading 1.66, and the team combined for a shutout to win the series rubber match.

  • Reds (16-18, v. BAL): Outscored 16-2 through the weekend, Cincinnati dropped to the longest active loss streak in MLB at five and is now 2-8 in its last ten as a struggling Diamondbacks team comes to town. 😬

  • Pirates (16-19, v. COL): Oneil Cruz's 2-run shot and Bryan Reynolds's first multi-hit game since Opening Day on Sunday helped this team win the series. Jared Jones became the only pitcher in history to have 52 Ks or more with five or fewer walks through his first seven starts.

  • Cardinals (15-19, v. CWS): A four-run seventh inning on Sunday led St. Louis to drop the series against an eight-win White Sox team. This team is in the bottom five in nearly every offensive stat and will now host the Mets before a six-game road trip.

West
  • Dodgers (23-13, v. ATL): Shohei Ohtani homered twice in Sunday’s win to tie for first in MLB in home runs. They held Atlanta to just six runs through the three games to get the sweep and now have MLB’s best run differential (+63).

  • Padres (18-19, @ AZ): They traded for the back-to-back batting champ, Luis Arráez, who joined the team on Saturday. He became the first Padres player to have 4+ hits in his debut. They failed to complete the sweep after winning the first two games, a combined 20-2.

  • Giants (15-20, @ PHI): Logan Webb allowed four earned runs for his second consecutive start and got bounced after four innings in Sunday night’s loss. They’ll look to avoid the sweep tonight and are now just 2-10 against over .500 ball clubs.

  • Diamondbacks (15-20, v. SD): The highs continue to be high and the lows low as they score just one run in each of the series' first two games, then follow up with 11 runs on Sunday to avoid the sweep. Despite being five games back from .500, they still have a +7 run differential. 🫣

  • Rockies (8-26, @ PIT): After a win on Friday night, they dropped the next two games to lose the series and are now 2-8 in their last ten. Their pitching staff has the highest ERA across MLB.
