Delivering Baseball’s Latest

American League

East

  • Blue Jays: Vladdy Jr. mashed his first tater of the Spring 438ft on 110.5mph exit velo. 💥

  • Orioles: Jackson Holliday showing you why he’s the front runner to win AL Rookie of the Year. 🥇

  • Rays: Another contender for Rookie of the Year, Junior Caminero, bare hands this ball at third to get the out at first.

  • Red Sox: Lucas Giolito might be done for 2024 with a partial UCL tear.

  • Yankees: Anthony Volpe proving his Gold Glove was earned with this barehanded field and throw to first.

Central

  • Guardians: Gavin Williams allowed one run and struck out five against the Mariners yesterday, only facing 11 batters. 🔥

  • Royals: Only one game in the last two days (you can hear the NBA players running to hide at the thought of a back-to-back), but the pitching staff tossed a collective shutout on four hits.

  • Tigers: Tarik Skubal has come to play this Spring, going five innings, zero runs, and eight strikeouts in his two starts combined. 😤

  • Twins: Chris Paddack is working to make a come back after a few injury riddled seasons.

  • White Sox: The Bears and White Sox might form a financing partnership to finance their desired stadiums. 🤝

West

  • Angels: Zach Neto launched his second homer on Monday as he continues to have a strong Spring.

  • Astros: As we wrote the other day, Justin Verlander will now officially miss Opening Day. He’ll start the season on the IL.

  • Athletics: New renderings of the A’s stadium in Vegas have been released. 👀

  • Mariners: Bryan Woo gave an in-depth look at his pitching grips in this 6-minute interview with Pitching Ninja.

  • Rangers: Evan Carter with two homers against Logan Gilbert, one for a Grand Slam! 🤩

National League

East

  • Braves: Spencer Strider, through nine innings on three starts, has 13 Ks, three walks, seven hits, and zero runs. Acuña is expected to be ready to go for Opening Day. 😅

  • Marlins: After battling injuries last year, Trevor Rogers looks to bounce back strong as he throws two scoreless against the Astros.

  • Mets: Tylor Megill keeps trying to solidify his starting rotation spot after a strong outing against the Yankees yesterday.

  • Nationals: $5 seats will be available to DC residents, but not Maryland or Virginia, and some fans are not happy. 😡

  • Phillies: After signing a huge extension, Zack Wheeler unveils a new pitch and sets his sights on the Cy Young. 🧗‍♂️

Central

  • Brewers: Jackson Chourio, the No. 2 prospect overall, has an RBI double off Logan Webb. Casually batting .304 this Spring. 📈

  • Cardinals: Sonny Gray’s readiness for Opening Day is now in question after he exits Monday’s start early with a hamstring injury.

  • Cubs: Cody Bellinger is expected to make his debut today against the Angels as a DH. I’ll be in attendance for this one, so if you will, too, reach out! I have an extra ticket, too. If someone wants to join, it's first come, first served. Reply to this email.

  • Pirates: Paul Skenes won’t be on the Opening Day roster. Former 1st overall pick Henry Davis keeps jacking homers.

  • Reds: On Monday, this team scored 10 runs in an inning. Granted, it’s Spring Training, but the talent on this team is capable of something similar if everything is clicking. 🚀

West

  • Diamondbacks: The first homer in Dbacks gear for Eugenio Suárez is sent out in a hurry at 109.3 and tying a Tuesday long of 422ft. 💪

  • Dodgers: Yoshinobu Yamamoto isn’t concerned about tipping his pitches. If you watched his debut, the announcers were correctly calling his next pitch because we could see the grip in the glove. 🫣

  • Giants: Yesterday Logan Webb gave up four runs in the first inning but also struck out six through 3.2 innings.

  • Padres: Matt Waldron goes 4 IP with 6 K and a Monday-leading 18 swings and misses. 💫

  • Rockies: Kris Bryant homered as he works to get back to form to go with a strong offensive performance by the Rockies on Monday.
