East
Yankees (10-3): Marcus Stroman allowed four runs in five innings of work on Wednesday night as NY lost to Miami 5-2. Giancarlo Stanton became the 15th active player to hit a homer off all 30 MLB teams.
Orioles (8-4): For the second night in a row, Baltimore was able to come back from a late deficit, completing a three-game sweep of Boston on Thursday night thanks to two Colton Cowser homers, the first two of his career. 🐄
Red Sox (7-6): The defense was little help, having three errors over the last two nights, helping Baltimore seal a series sweep. While this team leads MLB in unearned runs allowed, the pitching staff still has the lowest ERA across the big leagues.
Rays (7-6): Scoring three runs in the first inning while Zack Littell gave up just one run but totaled 99 pitches through 4.1 IP, sealed the series victory over the Angels on Wednesday.
Blue Jays (6-7): Yusei Kikuchi sat down nine batters on strikes over six innings on Wednesday, but it wasn’t enough as the Jays fell in the top of the 10th as Tim Mayza allowed three earned runs while recording just one out.
Central
Guardians (9-3): Josh and Bo Naylor both hit homers in the fourth inning, just the 10th time brothers have done so in the same inning since 1900 in Wednesday’s extra-innings win.
Royals (9-4): Tying a franchise record on Wednesday, Kansas City tallied 11 hits in just the first inning, eventually ending in a 13-3 rout of the Astros. They’ve won the last two games by a combined 19 runs and have now won seven straight games. 📈
Tigers (7-4): Thursday’s game was rained out and will be made up on Saturday as part of a doubleheader against the Twins. Tarik Skubal will pitch tonight against Pablo Lopez in what should be an incredible pitching duel. 🤺
Twins (4-6): On Wednesday, the Twins avoided the series sweep to LA thanks to Edouard Julien’s two homers. It came down to this play at the plate (3D version): Carlos Correa threw the ball 92.2 mph to get Ohtani out, narrowly stopping LA from tying it up.
White Sox (2-10): Losing by one run on Wednesday, Chicago now has an MLB-leading five one-run loss defeats this year.
West
Rangers (7-6): Allowing just four hits on Thursday wasn’t good enough to win, as the bats could only muster up one base knock during Texas’ loss in the series rubber match against the A’s. They’ll host the Houston Astros this weekend for a three-game series.
Angels (6-6): In his first career start, José Soriano allowed two runs before recording his first out, which was a sacrifice fly for Tampa to score their third run of the first inning. The offense couldn’t get over that hump as they fell in the series rubber match 4-2.
Athletics (5-8): On Thursday, JP Sears let up Texas’ only hit of the day in the sixth inning of a 1-0 win, securing the series victory.
Mariners (5-8): Logan Gilbert tossed 7.2 innings of one-run ball, and Cal Raleigh smacked a two-run homer in the top of the 10th as they avoided a series sweep on Wednesday.
Astros (4-10): Saying the starting rotation struggled over the last two days would be putting it mildly. Yesterday, Hunter Brown became the first pitcher in AL/NL history to allow 11+ hits in under one inning pitched. 😬

National League
East
Braves (7-4): Due to inclement weather, Wednesday's game was rescheduled for late September. It was a tough first few innings for Allan Winans, who allowed seven runs through the first three innings, leaving the offense with a hill too tall to climb. 🧗♂️
Phillies (7-6): No team has played more games in the rain this season, having faced the elements again on Wednesday. The Phils came away with the series victory over St. Louis 5-4, thanks in part to Aaron Nola's quality start. Ranger Suárez followed that performance up with eight strikeouts of his own over six innings, leading to a win over the Pirates on Thursday.
Mets (5-7): After a rainout on Wednesday, the Mets won by nearly two touchdowns on Thursday. The offense scored 14 runs with only two homers in the series win over Atlanta.
Nationals (5-7): Joey Gallo's solo shot on Wednesday was the Nats' only run scored, as they were held to just four hits. Patrick Corbin was handed his second loss of the year, giving up seven earned runs through 5.2 IP. They’ll continue their West Coast road trip with their last-ever series at The Coliseum.
Marlins (2-11): Miami avoided a sweep on Wednesday thanks to Jake Burger’s 3-run homer on his 28th birthday. Burger is currently tied for the most RBIs across MLB at 15. 🍔
Central
Brewers (8-3): Jackson Chourio had two RBIs and stole two bases in Wednesday’s win over the Reds. As Milwaukee takes on Baltimore, the potential Rookies of the Year will face off in this weekend's series. Due to inclement weather, Thursday’s series finale against the Reds was postponed to late August.
Pirates (9-4): Jared Jones has 58 swings and misses through his first three starts, the most in the pitch-tracking era, beating the previous record by 6. After leaving eight runners on base and going 1-6 with runners in scoring position, the Bucs bats will look to bounce back after Thursday’s 5-1 loss to Philadelphia.
Cubs (7-5): Kyle Hendricks gave up seven earned runs through five innings, and the offense's three hits weren’t enough to prevent the Cubs from losing the series to San Diego.
Reds (6-6): Elly De La Cruz hit his third tater of the season in Wednesday’s loss to Milwaukee. Hunter Greene went six innings, striking out nine, but also gave up six earned runs.
Cardinals (6-7): Victor Scott II, who has MLB’s fastest sprint speed of the year at 30.5ft/sec, missed a fly ball in the outfield, allowing a run to score, while the Cards lost by just one run on Wednesday. Scott is also currently batting .091 through his first 44 ABs. 🫣
West
Dodgers (10-5): A solo shot off relief pitcher Alex Vesia on Wednesday was all that separated LA's 3-2 loss against Minnesota, which left eight runners on base. Yoshinobu Yamamoto will take the mound tonight to kick off the series against San Diego. 📺️
Padres (7-8): Mowing seven down on strikes, Dylan Cease led the Padres to victory. The bats gave them a comfortable lead, scoring 10 runs. Michael King, who pitched seven innings, allowing no runs in his last start, will start against LA tonight.
Diamondbacks (6-7): Arizona took the lead in the top of the ninth and narrowly escaped with a victory on Wednesday after finding themselves in a bases-loaded bottom of the ninth situation with Colorado at the plate.
Giants (5-8): Tyler Fitzgerald stole the first two bases of this club's season as they staved off the series sweep, and Jordan Hicks went six innings while allowing Washington’s only run.
Rockies (3-10): Drawing their lowest attendance total in 10 years, excluding 2020, they went just 1-9 with runners in scoring position on Wednesday. This was partially to blame as the Rox dropped the series to Arizona.
